What is the difference between US and UK MPG?
US MPG uses US gallons (3.785 L). UK MPG uses Imperial gallons (4.546 L). Same car will have a higher UK MPG number.
Which is better, L/100km or MPG?
L/100km is more intuitive for comparing fuel savings. MPG is traditional in the US and UK. Both measure the same thing differently.
Why is the MPG formula inverse?
MPG measures distance per fuel (higher = better). L/100km measures fuel per distance (lower = better). They're reciprocals.
What is km/L?
